Black Hebrews of Dimona introduced veganism to the Middle East and the holy land and opened the first vegan restaurant taste of life in Tel Aviv in 1984. Today there are 170,000 vegans in Israel and Israeli Army now offers Vegan Boots, and Vegan Food bouts and even a special vegan Beret!
